AIR/FUEL RATIO CONTROL FOR AMERICAN SYSTEMS

The controller has a number of features to assist the installer-

1. The unit can be set at Open Loop or Closed Loop at idle via a trimpot located next to the connector plug in the control case. There is a green indicator led mounted on the case marked 'ON O/Loop', when on, indicating Open Loop mode at idle

2. The unit has two 'high intensity' blue colored leds to indicate Lean/Rich status i.e. oxygen sensor operation

3. Yellow led indicates rapid movement sensed in TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) signal i.e. rapid acceleration, high load condition etc. This provides instant enrichment to the engine mixtures eliminating a 'lean' running condition.

4. Includes Vacuum Valve (CP201-V), controlled by (CP201) to control operating pressure of convertor in turn controlling fuel mixtures.

5. Micro-processor style electronics allowing fast reaction time. Controller easy to mount, eyelet built in to case (unit is water resistant, however recommended to mount inside vehicle cabin). Connector plug and color-coded wiring loom for ease of connection to system.

Emulators

CP256 Injector Emulator
The CP256 has been designed to emulate the fuel injectors pulse to the vehicles computer while running on LPG. Also incorporating a single 'injector cut' relay with normally closed contact to run on petrol when no power from '12V Gas Switch' terminal on the unit. The CP256 is a universal unit that may be used on various vehicles, however the unit is mainly designed to work with late model Mitsubishi 4cyl. and 6cyl. (1999 - on). The single 'injector cut' relay is used to cut into the power source wire for the injectors.

 


CP250(P) Emulator for Holden (Isuzu) Rodeo
This Emulator module enables the vehicle to run on L.P.GAS without the ECM light illuminating. i.e. Logging and injector code problem in the ECM. However, the ECM light will continue to function under normal operation of the vehicle.

The CP68 is designed to lockout the start function of the vehicle if the accelerator pedal is depressed eliminating backfiring. The adjustment trimpot is provided to adjust TPS point where cranking will be locked out. TPS adjustment range is common 0.5 Volts to 4.5 Volts.

The interfaces allow the original fuel gauge to be used as the LP Gas gauge.

Combustible Gas Detection Systems For Marine Craft

K1. Introduction

This Appendix details the minimum requirements for a combustible gas detection system, which is to be installed in a marine craft where Clause 6.7.6.11 applies

K2. Gas Detection System
The gas detection system shall comply with all of the following

(a) Be suitable for the marine environment.

(b) Be waterproof, resistant to corrosion and the entry of dust

(c) Be capable of continuous operation from a low voltage source (i.e. wired direct to a battery) and indicate the operational status within 30 seconds of power being supplied.

(d) Have at least two outlets for connection of external equipment (eg. gas solenoid valve, audible alarm, bilge blower etc.)

(e) Activate the alarm function and cause a solenoid valve to close off the gas supply whenever the concentration of LP Gas in air exceeds 25% of the lower explosive limit.

(f) Have a latching system, which continues to indicate an alarm condition until cancelled.

(g) Be self-checking and indicate both normal and fault conditions

(h) Have fully serviceable units and be supplied with full installation and operating instructions.

(i) All switches are to indicate their operational position. This indication is to be permanently marked.

(J) Markings on the fascia of the unit, including the manufacturer's name and address, are to be permanent.

DP02 Tuning & Diagnostic Lambda Tool
The Peel DP02 is an extremely useful tuning and diagnostic tool. It utilizes the output from a high quality 4 wire (heated element) oxygen sensor mounted in a 'sturdy' exhaust mount to display a led graph of 10 x leds, in an attractive case, the exhaust gas content from an engine

A 4 wire sensor is used because of its higher signal quality and stability, having both a heated element, for instant signal and a separate signal earth for stable output.

The Led graph shows a 'Lean Out' situation (far left of graph), 'Rich' (far right of graph) and 'Lambda' (centre of graph) on a graduating scale. Supplied complete with -
